Hey everyone! Today, I’m going to talk about Goku and the return of Ultra Instinct. I think at this point, everyone knows what Ultra Instinct is. But, for those of you who don’t know about it, Ultra Instinct is basically a state, in which the user’s body reacts to any incoming threats on its own, without having to think about it. It means the user can avoid threats even when not directly seeing them, and the body can basically move on its own. Each part of the body reacts to incoming attacks on its own.
That’s not all. This form also grants an incredible power boost. When Goku fought Jiren, even Blue Kaio-ken x20 didn’t work. However, Ultra Instinct significantly added to his powers, and he was able to put up a fight.
Goku has used Ultra Instinct twice in the Tournament of Power so far. The first time was when he fought against Jiren. Goku initially went all out against Jiren, and even used the Spirit Bomb on him. But, Jiren repelled it, which led to Goku breaking his shell, and ultimately unlocking Ultra Instinct. During the second time, a similar thing happened.
Goku was fighting Kafla, and this time, he used his powers up again. Finally, Kafla powers allowed him to break his shell yet again, and this time, he could better control this power. He also defeated Kafla with Ultra Instinct. Since then, Goku has been out of energy, so he cannot use Ultra Instinct anymore. But, there is confirmation that Goku will use Ultra Instinct for the third time in the Tournament of Power.
Goku’s Ultra Instinct character design just came out, and it shows Goku shirtless, that is, without his Gi. So far, we’ve seen Goku twice in Ultra Instinct, and both the times that he has used Ultra Instinct, he has had his Gi on. This character design confirms that we’re going to see Goku shirtless in Ultra Instinct during the Tournament of Power. Goku will likely go Ultra Instinct against Jiren in the finale of the Tournament of Power.
This also matches with the initial promo art that we saw of Ultra Instinct. Goku was shirtless in it to begin with. We also got to see a clip from Dragon Ball Heroes, where Goku was fighting Jiren, and again, he was shirtless. So, it is 100% happening guys. Goku will go Ultra Instinct again, and break his limits yet again. There is no doubt. However, there are a couple of episodes we have to get through before finally getting to see Ultra Instinct again.
