Hey everyone! In this post, I want to talk about Jiren the Grey from Universe 11. I’m sure all of you are aware of who he is by now. But for those of you who don’t know, let me explain. Jiren is one of the main characters from the Universe Survival Saga, and he belongs to Universe 11. He is a member of the Pride Troopers, and is responsible for maintaining peace throughout the Universe.
Jiren is a pacifist. He doesn’t like to kill even his enemies. In fact, he didn’t even want to participate in the Tournament of Power at first. However, he was convinced by Belmod when the Super Dragon Balls were announced as the prize. There is something that Jiren wants at any cost. Even if it means breaking all his rules, and going against everything that he stands for.
Thanks to Jiren’s addition, Universe 11 basically looks unbeatable on paper. They have a God of Destruction, and someone even stronger than a God of Destruction in their team. Even though they don’t have a numerical advantage over Universe 7, they’re still the stronger side. Toppo and Jiren are enough to obliterate an entire team on their own.
A strange thing about Jiren is that he hasn’t done much in the Tournament of Power. He has only eliminated Hit, and Maji Kayo so far. Give the amount of power that he possesses, you would think that he’d have done more. You could say that Jiren might have been saving his energy for the end, but this is where it gets completely weird.
Jiren isn’t really giving it his all. He is letting Vegeta, and Goku to fight him. As we all know, he isn’t even using his full power, and that’s something that makes no sense. If Jiren really wants the Super Dragon Balls at any cost, why isn’t he getting rid of Goku and Vegeta. I’m pretty sure he can take out all of Universe 7 if he wants to, but for some reason, he isn’t doing much.
Jiren is creating trouble for his own Universe by not dealing with Goku and Vegeta in time. With just 5 minutes to go, if Jiren unleashes his full power, he can defeat both Goku and Vegeta pretty easily. Belmod himself said in Episode 123 that Jiren had finally begun to show a glimpse of his true power. But for some reason, he is still not going all out which is very weird to me. I know I’m not the only one who thinks this way, and there probably is a reason behind this. Hopefully, we’ll find out soon.
