Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well. I’m back here to discuss the powers and abilities of Boruto’s Karma seal. Well, from the title it is evident that this post is full of spoilers for Boruto manga. So, whoever does not like to read spoilers please stay away from this post. So, without further delay let us begin.
First, let me tell you guys who Boruto Uzumaki is, and how he got his Otsutsuki curse mark. Boruto Uzumaki is the son of the Seventh Hokage of Konohagakure, Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga. Boruto is considered a genius and has humongous potential. When Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki and Kinshiki Ōtsutsuki attacked Konohagakure during the Chunin exams, Boruto, Sasuke and four Kage went to save Naruto. Kinshiki Otsutsuki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki defeated the other kage but Naruto and Sasuke almost managed to beat them until Katasuke shows up the tide is shifted towards Momoshiki Otsutsuki.
Finally, Boruto used his disappearing Rasengan to land a telling blow on Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki and then finished him off with Naruto’s help by using the huge Rasengan. Later, Momoshiki appears to give Boruto Uzumaki his seal. Through Boruto’s latest chapter that is released few days ago, the name of Boruto’s seal is revealed to be ‘Karma’.
Kashin Koji seems to know about this seal, and he is the one who reveals its name in the first place when he is burning Konohamaru Sarutobi with his fire release technique of Samadhi Truth flame. They seem to be inextinguishable, much like Sasuke Uchiha’s Amaterasu black flames.
When Boruto sees his Sensei and big brother Konohamaru in flames, he begs Kashin Koji to stop he is distraught. Boruto extends his arm and then Boruto’s Karma seal activates covering his arm up until his right eye.
Then Boruto Uzumaki is able to absorb all the Samadhi truth flames. This absorbing ability of Karma is much like Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s ability. Momoshiki Otsutsuki is able to absorb all the ninjutsu used against him using the Rinnegan in his palms. And then he would use the same ninjutsu against his opponents.
It seems that if any human kills any Otsutsuki clan member he gets that Otsutsuki clan members abilities through an Otsutsuki curse mark. So, this is the reason why Boruto is able to absorb Kashin Koji’s Samadhi flames. But the interesting thing here to note down is that when Boruto absorbs this ninjutsu he sort of collapses and all the ninjutsu seems to be stored in him via Boruto’s Karma seal. Now, in my opinion, Boruto Uzumaki might not be able to use this ninjutsu against his opponents in the same way that Momoshiki Otsutsuki could do but I think that he can store all this ninjutsu in his seal.
It will be very interesting to see what sort of power Kawaki’s Otsutsuki curse mark has. Everyone was guessing that Kawaki will be the one to kill Urashiki Otsutsuki but since Kawaki already has an Otsutsuki seal, which was revealed in the recent leaks of the new chapter this theory has already been proven wrong. This absorbing power of Boruto’s Karma seal has in my opinion already made him an overpowered character even though he’s still a Genin.
Also, another detail worth mentioning here is that Boruto Uzumaki has another curse seal. What are the powers and abilities and how he acquires this second seal is still unknown but let us wait and watch as with every chapter Boruto manga is becoming more awesome. My only regret is that we have to wait for a month for the next chapter. The current pacing of the manga is great, and I like how the story is being handled.
That is it from today’s post about the abilities of Boruto’s Karma seal. Hope you guys found this discussion interesting. If you do not agree with the points in the post and have some of your own opinions, share them with us in the comments section down below.
Nice thoery but to be honest I thought you gonna talk more of the karma seal abilities like the increase in strength and speed in the user, jutsu absorbtion and release, jutsu amplifier, jutsu storing and finally body regeneration based on my knowledge on the karma seal
