VEGETA DOESN'T WANT TO ACHIEVE ULTRA INSTINCT NOW BECAUSE OF [SPOILER]

Hey guys! Dragon Ball Super Episode 122 dropped yesterday, and there is a lot of interesting stuff that happened in the Tournament of Power. Of course, as we all know, Vegeta was central to it. Dragon Ball Super Episode 122 saw the battle between Universe 7, and Universe 11 begin.
Universe 11’s strongest warrior, Jiren, was targeted by Goku and Vegeta alike. However, it was Vegeta who managed to pull off a show, and land a couple of blows on Jiren. Despite his best efforts, Vegeta lost. But, he’s not done yet. Vegeta is still in the Tournament of Power, and I think he won’t be knocked out anytime soon. We have some big Vegeta episodes coming our way as well and next week, we’re going to get a new Vegeta form as well.
Before I talk about this form, there is something really interesting that I want to talk about. In the previous episode, Whis commented on Vegeta wanting to get Ultra Instinct. For doing so, he challenged Jiren so that he could get a hold of this new power, or so he thought. Turns out Vegeta didn’t want Ultra Instinct at all. Sure, he did try getting it, and he did previously say that he would master it before Goku does.
But by Episode 122, Vegeta’s stance towards getting Ultra Instinct seems to have changed quite a lot. When Vegeta fought Jiren in the last episode, he said something very interesting.
“I can’t defeat you? Don’t make me laugh. I can never throw away who I am. Kakarot can keep his Ultra Instinct. I will defeat you in my own way.”
When you look at it, it doesn’t sound like something that’s important. But thinking about it a little more explains exactly why Vegeta doesn’t want Ultra Instinct. Ultra Instinct means you’re fighting without thinking, and in more than one way, you are throwing away who you really are. When Goku awakened it, Gohan mentioned that Goku’s movements had completely changed, and that’s why he was able to fight Jiren.
But with Vegeta, he cannot do what Goku did. He cannot throw away what he really is, because it would be going against his own pride. That’s exactly why he said Goku can keep Ultra Instinct, and that he would find a way on his own to defeat Jiren without Ultra Instinct. To me, this was a powerful statement, which literally explains what Vegeta is all about. I’m really hyped for his new form, and let’s hope we get to see it in the next episode.
