It is a Japanese anime series based on Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga. Produced by Toei Animation, the series premiered in Japan on Fuji TV on February 7, 1996, spanning 64 episodes until its end on November 19, 1997. Unlike the previous two anime series in the Dragon Ball franchise, Dragon Ball GT does not adapt the manga series by Akira Toriyama, but is one of two sequel shows, the other being Dragon Ball Super, to the Dragon Ball Z anime with an original story using the same characters and universe. The series picks up five years after the end of the Dragon Ball Z anime and continues the adventures of Earth's hero, Goku, who is turned back into a child by the Black Star Dragon Ball used by Pilaf and is forced to travel across the universe to retrieve them along with his granddaughter Pan and Trunks. The trio go through various adventures.
Season 1 – Black star dragon ball saga (Ep 1-15)
Info: Our story begins with Goku after five years of majin buu’s defeat! Goku was training with uub(Rebirth of kid buu after cleaning soul). Emperror pilaf reached to the lookout for blackstar dragon balls. Pilaf accidentally wishes goku to become kid again, so goku becomes kid, they soon discover that black star dragon balls scatter throughout the galaxy and if not gathered within one year, the planet will be destroyed. So Goku pan and trunks begin their journey to the universe to gather the blackstar dragon balls
Season 2 – Baby saga (Ep 16-40)
Info: In this journey they meet Dr. Myuu, who has a mystical creature, named Baby, who is the only surviver of Planet tuffles. Planet tuffles was destroyed by the Saiyans long ago. Baby wants revenge. so he goes to earth and take control over them, goku defeats baby becoming super saiyan 4. Then the earth is destroyed, and piccolo dies to take the blackstar dragon balls with him.
Season 3 – Super android 17 saga (Ep 41-47)
Info: Dr. Myuu created another android 17 and opened a black hole from hell to earth, so that his android 17 and earth’s 17 can fuse and create a loyal & perfect android, but after two 17’s fuse, Super android 17 still is out of control, It seems no one is match for him. Goku steps in and defeats 17 becoming super saiyan 4. Then they call shenron to fix all the damages done by 17, but worst nightmare is waiting for them.
Season 4 – Shadow Dragon Saga (Ep 48-64)
Info: Each time the Dragon Balls are used, they store negative energy, and takes 100 years to dissipate. But overuse caused the balls to overload with negative energy that created shadow dragons. Goku defeats one after another dragon, but the 1star dragon absorbs rest 6 balls and becomes omega shenron. Vegeta fuses with goku, but gogeta ssj4 ran out of time. Atlast goku kills omega shenron with universal spirit bomb! and the story ends.
