Hey guys! In today’s post, I want to talk about Jiren, and his power level. I know a lot of people want to see how far Jiren can go. As of now, there don’t see to be any limits to this guy. But, how powerful is he, really? Let’s see what we can make out of what we’ve seen so far. Jiren is a member of the Pride Troopers, and he’s said to be the strongest in Universe 11.
He’s also stronger than a God of Destruction. In the manga, Toppo pretty much confirmed that in terms of power, Jiren surpasses even the God of Destruction of Universe 11, Belmod. That’s why he cannot lose to someone like Goku. We have seen very little of Jiren as of now. But, it seems likely that he is close to Beerus in terms of power. There are a lot of ways to look at it, and the power scaling in Dragon Ball Super is in no way perfect.
But, I’ll try my best to explain why he is stronger than Beerus as of now. Back in Resurrection F, Whis said that if Goku and Vegeta were to fight together, they might be able to defeat Beerus. After that, during the Black arc, we found out that Vegetto was stronger than Beerus, or at least that’s what they told us. Back then, Goku and Vegeta weren’t as strong as they were today.
Goku had gotten a lot stronger since then. He can even use Kaio-ken x20 now, as we’ve seen in the Tournament of Power. Further, Vegeta just got a new form. According to the Grand Priest, Vegeta is far stronger than what he was as a regular Super Saiyan Blue. Now, I’m certain that even if Goku and Vegeta wouldn’t have been able to beat Beerus back in Resurrection F, they can do so with their new powers.
However, according to Dragon Ball Super spoilers for Episode 124, Jiren isn’t backing down even a bit. Even with Goku, and Vegeta’s new combined power, Jiren is barely hurt. In fact, he starts to power up more, and more. If possible, it looks like Jiren is going beyond the level of a God of Destruction. I’m sure Belmod is not weak in any sense. From what we’ve seen, he looks almost as powerful as Beerus.
But even if he’s weaker, I’m sure the distance between them isn’t that great. Jiren should be able to bridge that gap, but in terms of pure strength, I think Jiren surpasses Beerus. He toyed with Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken x20 Goku. Even Ultra Instinct had no effect on him. Now, Goku and Vegeta attacking together barely hurts him. This is a clear implication that Jiren is stronger than the Gods of Destruction. Unless the plot for Super takes a big twist, I think that’s the way it is going to be.
