Dragon Ball Super is a continuation of the Dragon Ball Z series, and it has actually done pretty well so far. Every single fan of the Dragon Ball franchise loved that the show is coming back. However, there were a couple of worries here and there. Many worried that the show wouldn’t be as good as it once was.
While some do think that it isn’t as good, I think the show is pretty good, especially in the Universes Survival Saga. Everyone is hooked to Dragon Ball Super, and the amount of fans that it has is insane. However, there a lots of things that Toriyama has forgotten to address some important things, which end up becoming plot holes. Toriyama often forgets a lot of stuff and in this post, I’m going to discuss a big plot hole that hasn’t been dealt with yet.
You all probably know who Trunks is, right? He’s the son of Vegeta and Bulma, and he was actually introduced to the series back in the Androids Saga. Trunks came from the future to warn everybody of the threat of the Androids, and to make sure they don’t face the same annihilation that his timeline faced. He did the same thing once again in Dragon Ball Super when Black took over the control of the timeline, and killed all the Gods.
Now, a big thing that has bothered everyone in the series is the Trunks of the current timeline, and the fact that he just doesn’t age. Along with him, Goten doesn’t age either. Usually, people don’t look too much into it, but that’s where a huge plot hole comes in.
Remember the Future Trunks arc? That arc? Well it was set around the same time. That’s right Dragon Ball Super is in Age 780 right now. In the Future Trunks timeline, Gohan died in Age 780, which in turn made Trunks a Super Saiyan. But, he had already aged by that time. This is what Future Trunks looked in Age 780.
On the other hand, the Trunks of this timeline still looks like a kid. He should at least be progressing with respect to what Future Trunks was at that age. But, it looks like all that has been forgotten by all the writers of the Dragon Ball series. This has bugged a lot of fans, and again, it looks very annoying because I’m tired of seeing Goten, and Trunks look like babies. They’re pretty much insignificant to the show right now, but maybe if they had grown up, they would’ve been more important.
